Ava liked the new apartment they had been given. It gave them enough space to feel like they were free without being so big that they were worried about other people trying to crash in on their space. Granted, they probably didn't have to worry about that here, but they were habits that were ingrained into Ava's mind from an early age and she doubted that they would ever go away. She and Zan hadn't really left the apartment since she had gotten the key from Liz and they had moved in. She'd gone out once while Zan was sleeping to get them some food, clothing and other supplies, but for the most part, she had stayed nearby. She knew he was still processing everything that she told him and she wasn't going to leave him on his own to do that. Currently, she was sitting on the sofa in the living room with her knees drawn up to her chin as she listened to him in the shower. |
