Meredith, kids & Open.
Meredith didn't know any of the people who were involved in this shindig, hadn't even talked to them. Honestly she hadn't been sure how to reach out too much to people she didn't know. Mark showing up had been, to say the least, a kick in the pants. It made her wonder why Derek couldn't have shown up, but she wasn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth.
She opted to bring the kids since there seemed to be others near their ages there. And that seemed to work to her benefit, because as soon as Zo and Bailey saw kids running around, they were pretty much gone. It was just Mer and little Ellis, strapped to her with a carrier, making a plate to nibble on and give the young'uns nibbles during their little play breaks.
It seemed like a nice little group so far, friendly folks. She had met Tess and briefly discussed the horrors of pregnancy before she found a place to sit with an unobstructed view of her children, gently rocking her youngest to the song that was playing on the speakers.
