He glanced up at the clock in the corner of the coffee shop. He wasn't sure why they had one - he had always seen coffee shops as means of an escape - but they did, and he could easily see it was late. Very late.
"I should be getting home also," he agreed, hoping his sister hadn't woken and found him not there, "may I walk you home? Or did you drive?" He kept forgetting they were old enough to drive now. He figured they all lived close enough to everything in town to walk, but that was just his opinion.
