Family fun days were -- in Penny's mind -- anything but. Being around her parents in the private confines of their own home was bad enough, but in public, it was beyond humiliating. They thought it would be a great idea to go mini-golfing. They also thought it would be a great idea to walk around with their hands on each other's backsides, as though they were Penny's age. She was mortified. As Mr. Weller wound up and smacked his wife square on the cheeks as she scored a hole in one on the final hole, Penny shoved her club into her sister's hands and bolted.
"Bathroom!" she called over her shoulder, jumping over the makeshift "moat" and ducking inside the building. Surrounded by the loud pings and dings of the arcade games, she furtively looked around, wondering what her next move should be. Bathroom was too easy. They'd find her. They wouldn't find her in the dark roller coaster simulator, but going on a ride alone was almost as humiliating as being in public with her family.
Almost.
Deep in concentration, Penny was unaware that someone had come up behind her. When she felt a hand on her shoulder, she jumped, whirling around to face her assailant.
