[He's in a secure cell at the Tower. He wonders if the Captain is planning an attack from the inside. He doesn't like not knowing, but he's used to it. They brought him food this morning and he didn't touch it. It's still set in the corner, on the floor by the door.

He sits on the bed, looking up when someone opens the door, but he doesn't rise to his feet.

In Russian, he asks:]

What is my mission?

[He feels the spirit in the house falling. Between Evan not believing in himself to Nat trying to run away the other day. He has them all at breakfast and he starts talking]
I know you all think this is a losing battle. We're outnumbered, outmatched, they have a team of over 70 people, all very capable of destroying a team like ours without much of an effort.

Evan's not making progress yet. Malcolm's treatment didn't take. We've taken some hard losses already and there's only going to be more to come, but we're fighting for something. Our fight will be worth it in the end.

Listen to me. I know your concerns about this. I know how frightening it is to contemplate the enormity of the Avengers power. I know you're afraid. But the antidote to fear...is faith.
