I accept. I know this transition's going to be hard on our town, but for the meantime, let's just focus on keeping order during the transition.
I looked at the new laws that were passed on Laws.Stepfurt.Gov and there are some bizarre ones. For everyone who might not have seen, Kleegan passed 7 new laws before he went out.
1. All votes performed on even months have an opposite effect, as the gods decreed. 2. All laws will remain in effect for 5 months after the reigning mayor resigns or dies. 3. Myles Amil should be given uninterrupted airtime every Tuesday night from 6pm to 11pm. 4. Myles Amil should be de facto mayor if anything should ever happen to me before a fair election. Lest he resign. 5. Every married relationship must produce a child within two years or there will be a hefty fine. 6. Single mothers have a year to find a husband or they owe the state 1 million a year. 7. The legal age of consent is now 30.
Thank God the law to limit the civil rights for non-white citizens didn't pass. There were only a handful of votes but they were all against civil rights. Fortunately, the election took place on Opposite Day so every vote cast took the opposite effect.
Amil doesn't have the power to erase these laws for another 5 months, but we can add things to cushion this transition.
