He'd beat me and my mom so bad, the neighbors kept calling social workers on us but they'd let it slide because he was ex military. They'd blame it on PTSD like the war caused his violence. Why'd they think he signed up in the first place, I don't know. But I got out. You got out. Your mom or siblings show up, they can stay in your room, and yes, you get your own room.
