Narrative
[She's lying in bed and suddenly she feels this deep euphoric feeling. Everything's in her control. Everything is as she makes it. Everyone is as she lets them be. She feels their lifeforce course through her blood. It's warm and bright. She is the light. She is the reason.
Wings of fire emerge from her back and her body is engulfed in the phoenix form but it doesn't burn her or her surroundings. She can take the pain, make it all like she wants it to be. Nicky and Sterling can be happy, Fantasia victims, all of the suffering ones, she can take it all. Annie can be here. She feels her, she's still here. A smile twitches at her mouth. In a blast it's all as she wants it.
Stepfurt is safe. Nicky and Sterling are children again. Fantasia's been wiped from everybody's memories. All of the pain has. Bucky is chatting with Captain America about old times. The scars from the beatings on the HYDRA soldiers bodies disappear. Everything bad is gone and she's in control.
The bird walks up to her and extends it's hand. She grins a little bit. This is good. It could be real, she could make it real. Then she hears another warning from Professor X. This isn't real, Jean. Don't give in. She hesitates. It isn't real. The whole world bursts into flames again and implodes into the bird which vanishes with a loud echoing caw-caw. She's back in her room, on her bed. Everything's normal. It was only a dream.
She goes into Evan's dream instead because his mind is safer]
