"I'm good at it," said Yoona. "Of course I like it."
There was no point in doing anything if it couldn't be done well. Yoona did what she was good at, and other people did what they were good at, and it was stupid to try and do something if one couldn't excel. That wasn't to say that training didn't have a purpose, but one had to devote one's life to a craft.
"But define 'openly.' My uncle and I have a workshop underground. I don't leave it." Her uncle handled sales and other dealings, and Yoona dealt strictly with invention and manufacturing. She didn't have a head for business (see "no point in doing anything if it couldn't be done well"), and that meant hours upon hours in a cluttered workshop tinkering with engines and gears and runes. "What I do isn't for everyone."
