Angela was working in her office, sitting on the comfortable couch with her legs folded up, staring at the screen ahead of her. The computer was compiling x-rays sent over by Brennan, looking for markers that indicated that the bones had degraded in the same way. Her eyes were going crossed, but she kept at it, using the stylus on the control pad to move the data chunks around.
She was about to see a short-term result when a flash blinded her, then another, and another. The noise was almost ignored, but her ears rang a little for it. She flinched, turning her head away, thinking maybe something happened to the rigging holding up the computer screen, and she really didn't want a piece of glass hitting her face.
When she brought her head up again, she blinked rapidly, looking around. "What the fuck?" She still held the control pad, but her office was nowhere to be seen. She heard a voice, and spun around, seeing Brennan standing a few yards away.
