Her dainty little feet walked against the slim edge of the roof; only God knows why since she tripped every two or three seconds. Before she knew it, her foot slipped on the icy concrete side and she shrieked rapidly closing her eyes getting ready for a spiteful blow from the ground. But she felt nothing, only a strong set of arms around her waist and heard a deep loud voice. Hesitantly her eyes opened to see who it was, but instead of seeing the person, she saw the far ground below and squealed and turned around quickly shielding her eyes against a warm chest.
Just realizing that she wasn’t alone, she opened her eyes and looked up, “Oh gosh, I’m so sorry!” she said. Joey always said sorry, even if there’s been really nothing to say sorry about. “Did I wake you up?!” she asked. Joey wasn’t concerned about her well being and the fact that she had nearly fallen off the side of the roof, she was concerned that she had disrupted the man’s sleep, “I am so sorry” she said the second time.
