Joanna should have known better. Always bumbling around, not paying attention to what she was doing or who she was bumping into. Most people just shoved her off, let her apologize and went on their way, completely dismissing the curious red-head's questions and odd comments. But there were those special few that did take the time to turn around, fix her with some sort of look and answer whatever she had asked.
This girl, Faith she was assuming since she said it first, seemed to be caught between indifference and annoyance. Neither good things. But at least she was playing along nicely! So far.
She cleared her throat and smiled widely. "I'm not on any drugs. Well, that I know of. It's possible that something could have been slipped into my drink while I was at the ball last night." Joanna bit her lip and tilted her head back to stare at the ceiling as she recalled the night's 'events'. Before she had gone asleep, she had pulled out some dresses and made a mask for herself and pretended that she was at a masquerade ball that the king had thrown to find a wife. Unfortunately, all Joanna could do was wander around and poke fun at the oddly dressed guests. There currently was no king or prince or anyone to play with unfortunately so her fantasy was cut short.
But she was getting distracted.
Joanna looked back to the girl, her new friend. "Faith is your name, huh? It's such a pretty name. Romantic really. Do you want to sit with me for breakfast? I can eat your toast if you don't like it!" She clapped her hands excitedly together, happy at the idea of extra toast.
