Sam was wearing an equally big, bright grin, but it was hidden by her helmet. Remi might be safe without but she would rather not have her brain pasted on the pavement should something go wrong. He was getting away from her in the traffic, and so she threw caution to the wind and sped up to catch him, weaving through traffic and, once, pulling a move that got a soccer mom in a minivan to lean on her horn.
She didn't care. The speed was giving her a rush, sending her heart rate racing as they neared their destination.
