Attack extinguished and knocked back by the forceful splash of water from the unknown Sailor, the disoriented Pumpkin Ghost stumbled as he readjusted his head before it could topple off. So sure that the other girl had been engulfed and eliminated by his flames in an impressive roaring of fire that he attributed to his own power, the girl's disappearance and replacement with the pink-clad Sailor further baffled and irritated what little capacity for thought he possessed.
He was never instructed how to deal with this situation, single-mindedly driven to seek out this strange power and defeat it. But these two girls didn't seem to possess what he was looking for, and were more trouble than what they were worth to bother capturing for his master. The Pumpkin Ghost was blindly enraged now, and the candle from inside his mouth flickered dangerously as he shot out another onslaught of rapidly extending vines, wrapping around the ankles of the two pesky Sailors with a crushing grip. He'd finish them off quickly.
