Nearly all that Oliver had done over the past few years was meant to keep those he loved safe. He'd failed at just about every turn. His mother, Tommy, Sara, everyone that had been hurt as a result of the Arrow's actions. And as much as he'd tried to keep her safe, Malcolm Merlyn had taken advantage of the broken trust caused by his secret and put his sister in danger. She was now on the radar of the League of Assassins, and she would be as good as dead if the truth ever came out about Sara's death. Nearly dying to protect her had made something clear. His sister deserved to know. She would never be safe, not like he wanted. The least he could do was make sure she was prepared.
The attempt that the guy who was more than just a DJ had made on her life only drove the point home even more. Thea was in danger, and the more he could tell her, the better. The thing was... he couldn't bring himself to tell her everything. He thought it was kinder to keep her in the dark about her role in Sara's death.
He'd asked Thea to meet him at the club. Funny that she'd spent all this time right above his secret lair and hadn't discovered it. Though that was a good thing. A very good thing. The worry in having the hideout in plain sight like this was that someone might stumble upon it. Granted, there were more people who knew the location than he'd like, but it was still fairly secure.
He waited for Thea inside the empty club. He couldn't quite shake his nerves. He had no idea how she'd react to the news that he'd been lying to her since he first came back from being presumed dead.
