Who: Harvey Dent and Barbara Gordon What: Two old friends have a run-in at GCPD HQ When: 2/20 - Midday Where: GCPD Headquarters Rating/Warnings: PG
The way Barbara saw it, she had two options when it came to difficult emotional situations. She could shut down, dig into her work or her research and push away the human world. The other option was to force herself to be around her loved ones as much as possible. She knew how dark things could get with the retreat tactic, so with a head full of Jason Todd and Joker drama on the brain, she had set down her work and decided to pay her dad a visit.
It was easier to push focus onto her dad. He was a whip-smart and righteous man who had the tendency to overwork himself to a fault. She also knew that he would forget the basics of taking care of himself like eating, so she had made her way into the bustling police station with a hearty but healthy sandwich in a bag on her lap.
It was always nice to visit her dad. He had been a cop all of her life, and so many of the faces around knew exactly who she was. They either remembered her as an energetic, rambling kid or the brainy beauty who had could always get the upper hand with their otherwise firm boss. "If you're looking for your pops, he's in a meeting, princess." While the nickname seemed demeaning, she knew Detective Bullock was speaking in jest. "I'd be happy to see he got that package—"
"Not on your life, Harv," she replied with a laugh. "I want to make sure he actually gets and eats the thing. I can see myself to the waiting room." She pointed to the line of chairs next to Jim Gordon's assistant's desk. She pulled up next to them and pulled out her phone, busying herself by checking her feeds for any word of Joker activity.
