Who: Bruce, Laurel, and Barbara
When: Thursday 1/29 to start
Where: All over Gotham
What: Showing Laurel Around
“Here we are.” Bruce said to Laurel as his private plane touched down at Gotham airport. The plane bounced for a moment as they hit the ground, then came to a smooth stop, and the door on the side swung open to let them out.
It was much colder in Gotham than it was in Starling, cloudy, as if it was going to snow in the very near future. He’d expected as much, and had made sure Alfred had a car waiting for them. The sleek black Rolls sat on the tarmac with Alfred standing next to it, fully restored and ready to take them anywhere they wanted to go. Alfred gave a polite nod as they stepped off the plane.
“Good morning, Master Bruce.” He said with a nod of his head.
“Good to see you again, Alfred.” Bruce answered with a nod of his own. The butler was his oldest friend, and it showed in the way the two men regarded each other. Laurel didn’t have to be as smart as she was to know that Alfred knew everything. “Alfred, I’d like you to meet Laurel Lance. Laurel, this is Alfred Pennyworth. He’s been tending to my home and my family for the majority of my life.”
He stepped out of the way so the two could greet each other, then gently ushered Laurel into the car. Alfred climbed into the driver’s seat after, and they were off on their way. The ride from the airport to Wayne Manor was, for all intents and purposes, a straight shot along a single road set on the edge of the city. Laurel would be able to see the skyline of the cityscape, but that wouldn’t impress a Starling girl like her, he surmised. There were plenty of other places they could go, though he doubted she’d be interested in any of those just yet. The car had yet to move, so Bruce looked at Laurel quizzically. “Where do you want to go first?” He asked curiously.
When she’d decided, Alfred started the car off in that direction.
