Who: Barry and S.T.A.R. Labs Crew When: Saturday 1/24, 2PM Where: S.T.A.R. Labs, possibly Ferris Air if needed What: Catching up, pushing the limits
It hadn't taken Barry long after that night on the roof to decide Iris needed some time to sort things out and go back to his own training. It was better this way, he told himself. Iris and Eddie could have their talk, sort things out however they needed to, and Barry could keep making progress. A few of those protein blocks handy, and his all-motivational playlist blasting in his ears, he'd spent all morning and most of the afternoon on that hyper-speed treadmill in the basement of S.T.A.R. Labs, trying to push himself harder and faster until he reached his limit.
Work it harder, make it better Do it faster, makes us stronger More than ever hour after Our work is never over
The bass pounded, and a rush of something else hit him. When it did, his earbuds fell out of his ears as if sucked out by rapid decompression, and he hit the stop button to look over at the monitor. 763 MPH. A sonic boom had sucked out his earbuds, nearly ripping them off the cable, and sent any papers on the desk nearby flying. At least the camera had been rolling, though. Taking a moment to clean up the papers, Barry moved them into the main room and continued on. He reached a top speed of 781 MPH before anyone else came to bother him, and Barry was sure they were following the repetitious sonic booms.
