It wasn't that Sam got lost, but he did get turned around, and had to back track a little. Not that he'd ever admit that. He didn't see the point. He eventually got where he was going, and that's what mattered.
He sauntered up to the door, and knocked. He felt a little awkward knocking like some common visitor. But Alex was acting weird, saying things that didn't make sense. Sam wasn't sure he wanted to just barge in on her.
He shifted his weight, and stuffed his hands in his pockets. He wanted to know why Alex was saying it had been over a year since she'd seen him, when he'd very definitely been with her just the night before. And where the hell were they, that she wasn't at their place?
Something wasn't right here, and Sam intended to get to the bottom of it.
