Damien was enjoying this. The water was one thing, but improving what he did with the flames? That was definite skill in his book. "Oh my, you are talented," he said with a grin as he looked at him, "makes me wonder what else you are capable of." It took much for someone to impress him, and Adam had done exactly that. "I have another talent as well. Now, don't be alarmed. I'm perfectly safe."
And at that, he pointed his hand to one of the tall, thin flames. Which should have burned. But it didn't. The fire merely went around his finger, not touching. He didn't seem to feel the heat from it now. Then he pulled back and the candlelight resumed its normal shape. "Sort of a.. danger avoidance thing, that I have. My power works that way in some situations. Car coming to me, a firing gun, a flame, falling rocks.. it's like a great force just moves them away from me, or at least prevents it from happening. But if it does? Well. I can heal too." He pricked the palm of his hand on the knife. Once he did, the wound swiftly sealed itself up and the skin looked just as smooth as though it had never been cut.
