Who: Felicity and Laurel What: Hacking, you know, illegal behavior in a legal setting When: After their conversation Where: District Attorney's Office Rating: Lowish Status: Closed. Ask to jump in.
What Felicity was about to partake in was far from legal even if its purpose was entirely heroic and noble. She was going to hack into her own network. Yes, the network she set up and monitored on a daily basis provided the capability for everyone who was pulled to Starling to communicate together and with everyone already present in Starling. Normally, the private feeds listed on there were, well, private, but with the prospect of more bombings and no pattern or relief in sight, Felicity was determined to do whatever was necessary to keep everyone safe. She'd failed too many people already and she wasn't going to let anyone else get hurt because of privacy. Right now, privacy was far from the most important thing for Felicity. People were dying and whoever was behind it was crazy. Period. There was no inkling when the next bombing would be and she couldn't risk lives because of respecting privacy. Not right now. Maybe after they caught madman behind this, they could discuss how what she did was definitely against a lot of the constitution. A lot.
Laurel said she could get Felicity access to anything she needed, but Felicity was going to use her own computer to do the hacking. She wanted to keep the amount of tracks she left, if any because Felicity was that good, to a minimum, if possible. She also didn't want to get anyone, especially Laurel, in trouble. People would still throw them in jail even if their actions were pure and meant to help and not hurt. She pushed open the door to the district attorney office and offered a hopefully innocent smile to the front desk. "Hi, I'm here to see Miss. Lance. About a case," she added another smile for good measure, but the extra explanation was unnecessary. She was waved through easily and Felicity quickly headed to Laurel's office, only asking directions once, and it was only to reassure herself she'd hacked the right camera that faced Laurel's actual office. It was more than a bit illegal, but Felicity knew how to cover herself and it was easier than wandering around lost or asking a billion different people for directions. Felicity liked to know what she was getting into before she actually jumped into it...or something.
The door was closed and since Felicity was more or less a new face, she knew better than to just walk in. The winning smile, especially hers, could only get you so far. Really. It kind of sucked. Though she could see Laurel inside, the blond refrained from waving like a school girl who was passing a classroom with her best friend inside. Instead, she opted to rap lightly on the door. You know, less intrusive and childish or something, right?
