Coira McKinnon knew she should have been curled up in bed, sleeping, preparing for another day of work tomorrow doing what she did best, but the young Lieutenant was a bundle of excited energy, still coming down from the high she had experienced coming aboard her first starship assignment. She had made sure she had found her quarters, had explored as much of the Science deck as she could, then made it her mission to get to know every inch of the ship that would hopefully be her home for the next little while.
So far, she had greatly enjoyed the experience, meeting new people, experiencing a new adventure. Life on a starship was quite different from life at Starfleet Headquarters. There was really no comparison.
So in another of her little exploring moods, Coira walked the corridors with an apple in hand, taking a casual pace as she did a round. She didn't tend to walk around long, she was sort of hoping to tire herself out, and didn't plan on leaving this deck. As she passed by one of the officers lounges, she was just going to walk by it, until she heard a noise through the doors.
She stopped, her apple mid-way to her mouth for a bite. She cocked her head slightly and listened, recognizing it immediately as a violin, or some form of similiar instrument.
"So someone else is keepin' weird hours." Coira mused to herself. Her curiousity getting the better of her, she turned and stepped through the doors, blinking around the room to find the source of the music.
Her eyes settled on a blonde woman who was obviously lost in her music. Being a musician herself, Coira knew better than to interrupt or say some anything, to break the aura this woman was no doubt in. Coira stepped in far enough so the doors closed, but made no other motion or noise as she listened quite pleasantly to her play.
