Ranul glanced at Sebastian expectantly, then pressed the keypad next to the door. It scanned his DNA and recognized him as the designated occupant of the quarters. The doors slid open and Ranul peered through into the dimly lit room beyond. His eyes were drawn upward by the large vertical view viewports that stretched to the ceiling; a full two standard decks high. Ranul glanced back at Sebastian, looking flabbergasted. He gave an appreciative whistle and stepped inside.
The main area of the quarters was twice the size of those he shared with Sean on the Enterprise and even included a kitchen area — something practically unheard of in the age of the replicator. On the far side of the room was a spiral staircase that led to what Ranul assumed was the bedroom.
"Well, you'll have plenty of space to run around, won't you?" He ask Morris, jiggling the carrier gently.
