The cleanse Craig had done at the start of the week to scrub him of the stink of dark magic gone not quite right had worked well, especially after some unexpected helps. Craig's magic seemed to be recovering, though he still wasn't trying anything other than the simplest of charms. The witch's mood and his energy had improved, though he would say he still wasn't quite 100% himself again. He wasn't sure he would be. But gone were his worries about being around those he cared for and considered friends, worries about tainting them with something dark. Craig was out of his room a lot more, back at the library reading, though he was trying to read for general knowledge only. He wasn't trying to have any more crazy ambitious schemes.
When Garrett had suggested a cleanse, Craig jumped at the idea. He did feel better already, but it might help. If nothing else it might help their slightly dented friendship and build some trust back up. One thing Craig had done first was prepare his room. He'd taken the dark chocolates and moved them out of his room to a secret place, which right away left the room feeling better. He then cleaned and used some natural herbs and oils to annoint the space. He hadn't been sure when Garrett would come, so Craig camped out on his bed with a small pile of books and was reading. When he finally did hear the knock on the door, he put a bookmark in his book. "Come on in, it's open!" He was dressed, at least partially, for once. Craig had been to the library earlier, so he still had his shorts on, though he'd pulled his shirt off when he'd come back in. This was unusual for Craig, who did like to lounge around his room in the nude. Perhaps there was still a slight feeling of shame about what he'd done. It wasn't anything he was consciously thinking about as the door started to open.
