Other Party - Bark and Ash and OPEN
"Hn," Ashton grunted thoughtfully, not disliking Barclay's explanation. He drank from his own glass, looking down at the red liquid in surprise at how it tasted. Some kind of juice, he decided. Not his favorite thing in the world, but the dragon did like sweets sometimes. "Perhaps they know a dragon." Or one of them was a dragon, even. Ashton studied the band members, searching for any clues.
When Barclay began musing about James and the party, Ashton looked at him, giving a small shrug to the question. More and more Ashton was displaying human tendencies like head nods and shrugs. He liked to practice using them correctly and timely while around other humans. "I don't understand why there are two separate parties. Is he intentionally trying to exclude someone, or is the only reason to get away from the staff and break the rules."
Ashton frowned at that. He didn't like when other people broke rules when he was strictly enforced to keep them. That was his whole beef with the weres.
The decorations themselves were not impressive to the dragon, and neither were the lights displays. The screaming and squealing happening over by the slip and slide were distracting and the music was too loud. However, the room had a distinct energy that had been lacking in the party held inside the Pegasus Dorm. There weren't as many people in the cave, but of those that were there, they seemed to be meshing better, less inhibited, more... well, under the influence.
Ashton looked down at the glass in his hand again before setting it aside. "Don't drink it," he told Barclay, reaching to take the witch's drink away. "It's what makes people act strangely." And the last time Ashton had been given alcohol, Blake called the school and had a word with Ms. Menides.
