Trent watched Ashton closely as the other frowned and pushed a breath out, releasing him but taking his own sweet time in backing off. The southerner exhaled a breath he hadn't been aware of holding and his lips tugged into a fairly disarming smile. "M'gonna take that as a compliment, Ashton. Careful, you don't wanna stroke my ego too much." He winked and then turned his attention back to the books, pads of fingers and thumbs flicking through pages.
How had he gotten the friends he had? Honestly, Trent didn't know. Truthfully he was always expecting them to get tired of him or find somebody better because that's exactly what his father had done and his mother had pretty much given up on him. You could say he didn't exactly have the best start as far as interpersonal relationships went.
"Be myself?" He offered with a shrug. "I dunno. I just talk to folk, get to know them, put myself out there. That sorta thing. Why?"
