The fact that her attention was not fully on him caused Oliver a feeling of disappointment. Though her compliment on his dancing helped him recover a bit. "Probably just the one left," he murmured inaudibly before smiling again and continuing in a more audible tone, "I aim to impress." He gave her a playful little wink, trying to let himself return to a more friendly feeling with regards to the beautiful girl. She was obviously more interested in Ashton than she was in him, so there was pretty much nothing more he could do if her attention would be split even while he's actually being impressive.
