Thread: Deal with a Demon
WHO: Barclay and Davian
WHEN: Saturday afternoon
WHERE: Davian's room, Kitsune dorm
Davian didn't know what the going price for demon blood was, but he knew how much it would cost him to get an ounce of marijuana in Camden. He wasn't sure if Barclay was going to undercut him and then turn around and make a better profit somewhere on the black market or something, but as long as Davian got his money, he'd be a happy demon. Davian liked to pretend he was a giving sort sometimes. After all, he could always get more blood in his body. It didn't really matter to him that he'd been a vampire's tasty treat and now a witch wanted it, too. What mattered was he'd have something to help him get over the horrific detention he'd just served the night before.
That fairy French teacher was a slave driver. He'd never seen so many snot nosed human children in his whole life, and she had expected him to play nice with them. Tea time, dolls, race cars, and pushing them on a swing outside on the playground of the shelter. It was almost the worst detention he'd ever had, and every time he tried to get away from the little imps, she'd say something about how he must be so eager to come back and play again the following week which, he learned, was just code for that's an added detention. Davian had stopped trying to slack off when it became apparent she was going to make him serve his time and serve all of it. He only came out of the experience with one more added detention that he couldn't get out of, and that was for tripping a kid on purpose who had been crying about something.
Seriously, the sound of human children crying was like pouring acid in his ears.
Davian's nerves were shot by the time they got back to the school and he had retreated straight to his room and barricaded himself inside only to see the message from Barclay that he was willing to make their deal. He'd told the witch to come to his room the next afternoon and to bring the money and now the demon was waiting. He was curious if Barclay would show up with the $60, two vials, and a kiss, or if he'd come with all $80. Really, both options appealed to the demon in different ways.
