The bar was packed, bodies pressed in close, and it was the perfect hunting ground because nobody was paying attention. Well, not enough attention to notice the way the dark haired vampire charmed his way into a group of young women with relative ease, catching the brunette by the wrist and pulling her aside.
It didn't take much, it never did. Connor had never struggled for company and despite his literal teething problems in the first throes of vampirism he'd taken to his new life like a duck did to water. Eventually he and the brunette were alone, pressed up close, bodies slotted against one another as though they'd been made to fit together and the moment she locked eyes with him that was it, she was his.
And Connor smiled slow, predatory and dark, and leaned in until the slip of fangs could only be seen very briefly before sure enough they vanished in an instant, hidden in the delicate flesh at of her pulse where Connor drew slow and steady pulls of blood, the wall and the firm presence of his body giving the young woman the support she needed as Connor drew on the very thing that kept her alive.
Eventually when he'd had his fill he withdrew, languidly cleaning up the bite and taking his time to put the young woman back together until he sought out that all important eye contact, hand even going to smooth strands of hair back, behind her ear where his touch lingered.
"You and I never met," he murmured. "Understand? This never happened."
The girl simply gave a mute nod and Connor lifted his other hand until he had both firmly wrapped around the back of her head all but trapping her in his intense gaze. "I need to hear you say it."
"We never met," she answered.
