Thread: Sunbathing
WHO: Annabelle Keely and Trent Kane
WHERE: The school field
WHEN: 17th May, 2014. Midday
After having been submerged in pretty much pitch darkness for a week, the sunlight was - whilst welcome - a stark adjustment for the students, but Anna was trying to soak up as much of the rays as she could. She'd started to feel kind of tired and sleepy and like she was wilting a little bit without having seen the sun for so long, like the plants that she had been working very hard to keep alive and she figured that was why she was so tired, they weren't able to fight really without sunlight.
The texts from Trent had been sitting in her phone and she'd spent a while toying around with what she was going to wear, but then she figured fuck it. If she was going to enjoy the sun, she was going to enjoy the damn sun. It wasn't like she ever got sunburn (but she did freckle like a bitch) so she pulled on a pair of denim shorts that were sort of scandalously short, barely covering her behind and stripped out of her tank top to put on a forest green bikini that had subtle underwiring.
Hey, if she was going to be wearing relatively little, she was at least going to look good.
She eyed herself in the mirror in her room critically for a few moments before she just nodded, figuring fuck it, and headed outside with black and white flip flops on her feet, her toes painted a dark purple colour (the only nail polish she'd ever managed to find that didn't have any iron in it), t-shirt on over the bikini so that she could at least pretend she wasn't going to strip to sunbathe outside.
Sunglasses were perched on her nose as she headed outside, feeling her whole body reacting to the sun and her lips curled up into a smile. From outside her house, it didn't take long for her to locate her best friend and cross over towards him, standing above him, her shadow obscuring his face.
"You know I think it's a bad idea to sleep in the sun..." she teased.
