Most of what Mr. Graff said went over her head, and what she did understand didn't seem very appealing. She was sure she'd know none of the modern dances—particularly not the man's part—and more ghosts seemed unwise. "I'm happy to accompany you on whatever amusements you prefer," she answered, not sure that was actually true, but it was the polite thing to say. Not to mention she had the distinct impression that Mr. Graff didn't like her. And to be fair, she couldn't really blame him, though it was a bit disappointing.
"Though if it's possible, I should a moment to write a letter to Mr. Prose. I feel he deserves an explanation."
