"No, not in general," Barclay said. "I've seen in you class. You give a passably good impression of a student who's being, at the very least, somewhat engaged by the teachers. But I think you see the point of that - of learning, of being in class. You like knowledge."
Barclay gestured at the room they were in. "But when you don't see the point, you like to observe until you do understand. You're clever, I can see that, and I think that tactic will get you far. But, well, don't always make sense. They're weird and slightly insane, the lot of them. Myself included. And that's what you're not good at. You're far too pragmatic for things like Hallowe'en, and that's when you begin standing out."
Barclay shrugged. "Or maybe I've been watching you too much."
