It took a while but Sara eventually, and to Kana's relief, settled on a hairstyle. Kana had likely set a record for her patience during the hair-styling session. It was a bit odd, but for some reason, Kana just felt comfortable with Sara. Being with her felt almost as comfortable as being with her brother, but unlike her brother, Kana could actually do girl stuff with Sara. Xavier would put up with Kana trying to come up with stylish things to wear simply for the fact that it was something to wear, but Sara actually had fun with it. The two of them arrived at the academy almost on the same day, so they had that in common too. Then there was the whole fox thing. Kana had considered actually telling Sara what she was. The kitsune wasn't completely sure if it was an actual reason for why she felt so comfortable with Sara, but it did seem likely. Typically she never felt that comfortable with someone. A werefox and a fox spirit (half fox spirit technically) and they just happen to get along? Coincidences and what not could exist, but Kana sort of doubted it.
She had been receiving a fair amount of looks today in her hi-low skirt. It was somewhat inspired by her lineage. The skirt in the back was spit into two parts that had sparkling fabric that blended from dark orange on the outside to dark red in the middle. She had only seen her own tail a handful of times, but she was fairly sure that she had done it justice, and allowing the skirt to have two tails was simply because she was curious how it would look. The front of the skirt was blood red around her waist that blended to black at the bottom. She wore a corset top which was mostly black with the exception of the trim. She had used the same shimmering material as she had done with the skirt to create something that appeared like flame trails. The entire outfit had taken her a great deal of time, but not only that, she actually had to go to the fabric store for a portion of the material. Still, it had been less expensive than most dresses out there, and it was completely unique to her.
She walked into the diner, looking completely out of place since it didn't seem like people dresses up quite as much around here. New York schools and the city were usually like fashion shows, and don't even get her started on fashion week. That was one of the reasons she worked so hard on her outfits. It had been a way for her to not be singled out. Here, on the other hand, it seemed to be the better way to single her out. All eyes had moved to her the moment she opened the door. She tried to ignore them, but she was pretty sure that the air around her was warming up even though she couldn't actually tell. She held the door open for Sara, hoping that the cute and friendly blonde girl would be able to pull attention away from herself; after all, Sara was naturally cuter than Kana, or at least that's how Kana felt.
