Therese was getting anxious. A little less than a month to go, and for some reason things seemed like they were getting worse. She knew that this wasn't going to be easy, but she wasn't really expecting her star to suddenly go through one of those weird phases that high school girls sometimes go through. Therese wasn't exactly sure what was going on, but Clair was dressing differently, she was acting differently, and there were times when Therese was actually concerned that the young girl looked as though she were about to jump the prince.
Of course it seemed as though the prince had his own troubles. Ah high school. It just always seemed as though the problems of high school students appeared to be much more dramatic than they likely were. She thought back to her time in high school, remembering the time she herself had gotten entangled in a love triangle with a girl named Serene Loveless and the boy they both had a crush on, Devon Clarke. The things the two of them did to get his attention now seemed utterly ridiculous.
She watched as they finished the final song of the musical. At least their singing didn't seem to be suffering from their current problems. She smiled and clapped her hands together a few times to let the students know her approval. She then stood. "Splendide," she said, projecting her voice so that it could be heard throughout the auditorium. "We shall call it for today," she told the group, "I 'ope you will all continue practicing your lines. It is ne long before we will preform before a crowd." She gave an encouraging smile at the students, "I know you will all do merveilleusement. "ave a pleasant afternoon."
