Thread: A Talk and A Walk WHO: Alec and Leon WHEN: Sunday night [backdated] WHERE: Around Camden
The pool game had not gone in Leon's favor. It turned out either it really had been just beginners luck with Mickey or Mickey was really that bad at pool to lose to someone with next to no experience in the game. The same wasn't true for Alec who effectively wiped the felt with Leon in each game they played until finally Leon had just given up his boasting and admitted to her superior skill, laughing and enjoying the friendly competition. The Dockyard by then was filling up with weekenders who were trying to squeeze the very last out of it they possibly could before Monday hit, and Leon had suggested they leave to go get some fresh air.
It had been a good decision, he thought as they walked along the wharf. The Haitian boy didn't really enjoy crowds whatsoever, and all the voices and sudden noises made him a bit jumpy, especially when any one of those movements or passing shadows could be one of the spirits that hounded his every step. So once they were out of the bar and on their way, he felt immensely better, more able to keep track of his ghosts and their possible malicious intentions.
"So I think you owe me an apology," he began with a slow teasing smile touching his lips, hands in his jacket pockets and dreadlocks dangling down his back where they were tied out of his face. "You never told me you were a champion pool player before we started." Leon chuckled and bumped his shoulder against hers to show her he was only joking. Really, Alec didn't owe him anything. He was just glad she, for whatever reason, still continued to enjoy spending time with him.
