"Far from it," Leon answered Valentin with a shake of his head and a small smile. "She just told me a while ago. I've had a lot more time than you to digest it." Chuckling softly, Leon tried to ignore the way Valentin dragon the blood. He wasn't disturbed by it so much as curious, and trying not to blatantly watch him. Leon was sure Valentin would be bothered by that.
'All the parts and stuff', when Alec said it, sounded rather humorous, and Leon laughed a little more easily, letting his own sadness roll off. They were out here in the wilderness, nurtured by the Mother, and that was plenty of reason to not dwell on things that hadn't happened yet and, hopefully, wouldn't for a long time.
