Most of what Fisher said either made no sense to Neculai, or went right over his head. But he nodded along anyway, not wanting to appear stupid, and drank from the glass she poured him.
Seeing all the stickers lined up on the door made him chuckle and, strangely, put him more at ease. It didn't hurt to hear Fisher tell him he was safe, too. "I'll answer all your questions. I have nothing to hide."
Truthfully, most of his dirty laundry was already out in the open. How he'd flipped the tables on Sorin and trapped him in the mirror instead, then proceeded to take over his life. Nick had made some bad choices, he knew that now, but he was owning up to them and attempting to make amends, even if Sorin was dead and wouldn't know about it.
