Thread: go knit in the pool!
WHO: Fisher and OPEN
WHEN: Nov 24, (late) evening
WHERE: Indoor pool
In the wake of the holiday exodus and the resulting (almost) empty campus, Fisher had seized the opportunity to colonize the indoor pool with militant gusto. It took some time but she'd succeed in draining the pool and filling the emptied space with her…project.
More specifically: yarn.
Lots and lots and lots of yarn.
The first impression that struck – assaulted – the eye was that of a grand and tangled web. Yards and yards of yarn were stretched between the pool's walls in vast multicolored network. The sheer amount of it was so immense and overpowering that it was hard to recognize any sort of rationale present in the suspended mesh. (To be fair, a pool full of string didn't look like the work of a rational mind even in a place like St. Margaret's.) One had to peer very closely and very patiently, and slightly cross-eyed, to actually make out the design: a maze.
In the heart of this mess sat a tense, hunched figure dressed in flannel pajamas, a battered hoodie, and a cap that read: DONUTOLOGIST. Fisher's hands were buried in a bundle of yet more yarn, the tangle of seemingly occupying 98% of her attention. Small pearlescent crabs, their capiz shells inked with runes, ran along the taunt strings like bulky spiders. Occasionally one would tick its way to Fisher's shoulder, click in her ear, get clicked back at, and then scuttle way to continue...whatever.
