To Cheyenne, that soft whimper did her in. She too stole a breath when Talyssa pulled back, and her eyes flashed open to check the girl’s facial expressions, fearing that she would reject this. But then Talyssa was diving back in for more and Cheyenne was relieved enough to give it to her.
She could tell already that Talyssa was new at this, the whole kissing thing. So she took mercy and went slow, letting the girl explore but definitely keeping her position as leader. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knew she should stop and talk about this, whatever this was, but she didn’t want to face that question yet. Not until she had an answer. And not when kissing Talyssa was much preferable to making tough decisions. This had to continue, but not here, where they could possibly be exposed.
“Come here,” she whispered against the younger girl’s lips. Chey took Talyssa’s hand and pushed her chair back before fleeing deeper into the library. When she found a corner that was dark and full of books that hadn’t been used in who knew how long, she stopped and turned again to the other girl.
There, Cheyenne paused and looked over Talyssa’s face again. She could see that her lips looked like they had been kissed, but what Cheyenne really wanted to see were Talyssa’s eyes. Did she want this too?
Cheyenne’s hand swept back Talyssa’s hair and she cupped her cheek gently. “Kiss me.” It was almost a question, not quite a command, but Chey had to know that Talyssa was as into this as she was.
