Sasha closed the camera app and put his phone down on the bedside table as he was pulled into the fae's lap. "I hope you like them. At first I was gonna make the frosting the same colour as your eyes but it came out kinda like dryer lint," the half-demon admitted, looping his arms around the fae's neck. "Oh, I got you something else too." Reaching under his bed, Sasha fished out a rectangular shaped gift wrapped in what appeared to be several pieces of square origami paper of different colours and patterns, all taped together.
There was a hesitant moment before he handed the gift over. "I didn't have a lot of cash...but if you don't like it I can get you something else. Something expensiver?" Sasha had seen so many images on Snapchat and Instagram of the gifts other people received for their birthdays; it made Pavel's present look like nothing at all.
