Jack's phone was on vibrate. He had heard some buzzing about there being a party tonight - something to herald the end of summer - and while he had not felt the need to be a buzzkill, he did want to be on hand, should something occur. Most students had friends who took care of them when they were too drunk, but accidents could always happen. Still, with the end of the summer holidays hanging heavy in the air, he felt the need to do something spontaneous too.
Wendy was living in the dorms these days, and Ryuuko would be fast asleep by now. Or so he hoped. So Blake would probably be alone, reading a book.
He had considered bringing something - a gift - but he had come up short with what to do. Flowers felt too intense and a bottle of whisky was kind of the wrong thing to be bring, considering Blake's tendencies. But, Jack mused, maybe dropping by was the wrong thing to do altogether, considering Blake's tendencies. Jack was not even really sure what he wanted to happen.
A familiar surge in his stomach made him realize that his body, at the very least, had some ideas about that.
Jack ran his tongue over his upper lip and knocked on the door.
