Aktamun and Kari
Kari's eyes turned to Aktamun and she let out a quick breath. "Sorta," she whispered, "I mean, yeah, I saw smoething. Like . . . it was fire and everything was on fire." But tht wasn't saying much because there was a big bonfire and Aktamun was playing around with fire magic too. She scratched at her brow lightly, trying to remember the exact images she saw.
The firebird was distracting though. it flitted and danced a merry jig. The firebird . . . she looked at Aktamun, "I saw your bird? I think?" She hated these sort of visions. They happened every once in a while and never when it was convenient. Not to mention that it wasn't really easy to say if it would happen at all. She looked back at the card, recalling that the heart of it had been a devil.
"Wait," she said softly, "I . . . this looked different in the vision." Yes, it had been a devil face but now that she thought about it, the face had changed. A jackal? A fox? She squinted at Aktamun, "it's hard to say. I'm not good at figuring this shit out." Not yet.
