Fen smiled softly, happy that her friend didn’t find her boring. When she pointed out the boys Fen tucked some hair behind her ear and blushed slightly. Glancing at them and then down to the table. “How can you tell?” She asked, when she’d looked up she couldn’t tell where the boys had been looking. She would have assumed they were looking past her to the menu. Why couldn’t she see things they way other human girls could? Maybe because foxes were more obvious when they wanted to mate. They didn’t date like humans. Hell, until the end of the last school year she’d never even looked at human boys as something to be desired. But once probed in the topic she’d let herself be open to it. Granted she didn’t realize that her choices had been boys that were sort of Fox like in nature. Over the summer though she had definitely researched boys and sex and now was almost more confused than she had been. At least she had girlfriends that didn’t seem to judge her and were nice and understanding. Even if not all knew why she was so naive.
