The sweetest sound in the world was the sound of Felicity's voice in the morning after she'd first woken up. It always brought a smile to Galad's lips and he watched her discover the treats he'd brought. Their marriage dynamics were going to be different than most elvish couples, Galad was sure. They would be different even from standard marriages across most races. They were still in high school, for starters, and had a child on the way. Their parents would be taking the child to raise while they completed their education, up to and including university. They would become the Baron and Baroness of Bymarka when his parents stepped down. The king and queen of the elves expected them to be good and fair rulers of their little corner of the elvan kingdom, and Galad hadn't stopped hearing about that since before the current king and queen were on the throne.
But outside of all their differences with most other marriages, it still came down to the basics. Provide for each other. As simple as pastries for breakfast fetched from a corner cafe.
Galadari moved from his chair in a fluid easy movement that brought him to the bed where he slipped in beside Felicity and wrapped his arms around her. His deep blue lips kissed the crown of her head and he inhaled her scent - luscious and perfect as always. "We could make a run for it," he murmured, smiling as he spoke this fantasy. "Ditch our possessions and ID and follow the stars to a place nobody could find us."
A rumbled chuckle sounded from his throat. He knew neither of them would be happy for very long in that scenario, but it was nice to think they had the power to leave their old lives behind. Gil would come too, of course. That went without saying. Despite marriage, Galad was still deeply connected with his twin.
