As he drew closer, Ashton had intentions of walking straight past the other student, particularly as it seemed she was watching him and waiting for him to approach. He was not in the mood for questions or for people in general, and really it would be for her own good. But that's when he noticed her hair was not sitting still like normal hair ought to. It was moving, writhing, even, and the dragon stopped in his tracks when one of the snake heads turned to regard him.
His first response was stalled on his lips as he caught himself, leaving just his mouth open with no words, and he quickly closed it with a snap of teeth and a blow of hot air through his nostrils that was more dragon than human reaction to surprise. Then his head tipped to the side as curiosity overcame his stubborn refusal to speak to others and he opened his mouth again, "Hello."
