Dunking Booth: Liam & Cheyenne
Cheyenne was very happy to be going to the dance with Liam. It was a date, technically. Her meeting with Domino way back could've been considered a date, except that he had to run out on her to help a friend or something something. So she was counting this as a real date, and her first with a guy. Alicia had scored her first ever date.
Not only was she happy to be there with Liam, but he seemed genuinely happy to be there with her, too. He was probably glad to not have to be around Adri, Cheyenne thought. All that girl did was whine and cry and sulk around waiting for people to throw her a pity party. Liam was smiling and laughing and he and Cheyenne were having a good time. A time he would not have had if Adri had asked him to go instead. So it was a win in many ways.
Thoughts about other girls, especially the boring ones, left Cheyenne's mind as soon as she and Liam came next to the dunking tank. It was like a dream come true to most students to get to dunk the kids from Hydra without retaliation. Or at least, without immediate retaliation. Hydra students weren't known for letting things go.
Like Liam, Cheyenne hadn't bothered to wear something that went along with the theme, though when anyone asked, she said she was a carnival goer, obviously. She did up her makeup, but kept it light. Her dress was flowy and let her thin long legs have plenty of room to move, which she did when she and Liam had danced. The jacket kept her warm and her shoes were comfortable flats. Every now and then she hooked her arm with Liam's and that's how they arrived at the tank.
"Sure," she replied to his question with a certain relish in her voice as the Hydra boy shouted at them. "This asshole is gonna sleep with the fishes." She threw in a bad Godfather accent as she said it and grinned. Cheyenne picked up the baseball when it was her turn and tossed it in the air once before snatching it out. She'd liked playing pitcher on the island she came from, among many other sports, and it was pretty clear by the way she handled the ball that she was familiar with it.
Stepping up to the line, Cheyenne swung her long hair behind her shoulder and wound up the ball. She released it in an underhand throw that hit the target dead on. The Hydra student took a dunk and came up sputtering. Cheyenne laughed and looked back at Liam. "Too easy."
