Dunking Booth: Liam & Cheyenne
Liam had worn a suit for the night. He was half tempted to get a bunch of paper bags and cover them with wax but it was a little too much effort for his taste. The suit he wore belonged to a cousin before, and it was a suit worn for special Sunday services and funerals. So it wasn't worn all that often. It fit him well enough, though a little snug across the chest, but he wasn't looking to button it up. He left the tie behind and intead of a white shirt wore a dark one.
Now he and Cheyenne were browsing the booths. They were pretty generic carnival games. Word among students was that the kid running the ring toss was cheating and nobody could win it. Liam might check it out later but he was more interested in seeing who was currently sitting waiting for the dunk tank. It looked like there was a changing of the guard and the last person to sit there was being replaced by another student. The kid was a Hydra, as seemed to be most of the people running the booths, and an Intermediate. Liam had a couple of classes with him. General know-it-all and made sure that everyone knew that he knew it all.
"You wanna give it a shot?" he asked, figuring he would do the gentlemanly thing and let Cheyenne have a try first. So far the evening with her hadn't been too bad, though he'd received an icy look from Ms. Hallowfen when he showed up at her bungalow to pick her up. He didn't ask about it, assuming it had to do with the fact that he'd bruised up Sasha pretty bad and been at the heart of the big brawl that had erupted in the hallway.
"No prize though. At least nothing you can take with you. Just the satisfaction of seeing someone get soaked," he shrugged. The hydra student currently in the seat began hurling insults, egging students on in an attempt to break their concentration. So far it was working.
