Van's whistling paused as he lifted his feet off the desk and dropped them heavily to the floor with an accompanying roll of his eyes. He didn't answer when she asked if there was more he needed to do. Not that he had anything against lying or omitting the truth. He just didn't want to play this game with her. She wasn't his mother. She wasn't even his teacher.
Van folded his arms in front of him and gave her a raised eyebrow look, challenging her with his silence.
