THE PERFORMANCE! (Liam, Adri, Dom, Alicia, Davian, Open to Reactions)
It was time. The third to last band of the night but probably the only one people might have been keeping an extra keen eye on. It was, after all, made up mostly of St. Margaret's students. Word spread fast among the grapevine when their lead singer posted to his Twitter he wasn't going to be singing. He acted like the show wouldn't go on with him. News spread fast but not fast enough. Those that knew expected their dear school president to walk out and announce that the change. Instead she came out and tapped the mic again.
"Well, everyone," she said, "Now it's time for our next band. Consisting of St. Margaret's students Liam Cabot, Alicia Sutton, Adrianna Carter, Domino Maddox, and our very own Adam—wait, hold on, I'm sorry, I mean Papi?—Papi! Also from St. Margaret's! Please welcome to the stage, Off With His Head!" There was an applause, but a good amount of confusion mingled in with it. Those who knew Davian immediately knew who it was. Alex being among them, he screamed, "FUCK YEAH, PAPI!" There were some whoops and cheers.
The lights went down and there was a new buzz of excitement in the air. The students of St. Margaret's, especially those of Kitsune, were a bit restless and ready to get moving. It wasn't until the entire ground hushed that the sound of the electric guitar blasted from the amps. Davian's voice would kick in next.
Their song of choice? "Black Dog" by Led Zeppelin.
The song didn't require a lot of complicated movement from the drums the way other songs may have. Liam was going to have to play by ear, hoping to keep a rhythm that Davian would set and then he would need to follow as they moved into parts of the songs where the two of them would overlap. It was a good thing that Davian's parts for the most parts came in between the periods of drums, guitars, and bass. The original song only had one guitar playing, but the group adapted the song to fit having a rhythm guitar included. It changed the song a little but they made it work.
Liam beat down on the drums, focused on playing and enjoying the sound they were producing from where he was sitting. Adrenaline pumping through his veins. The crew doing the lights above were flashing when they needed, and giving their performance the feel of a real band. One of the good things about Adam being such a fucking primadonna was his direction to get the lights just right. Liam focused more on the music, but Adam wanted to make sure he and the rest (but mostly he) looked good on the stage.
Now Adam wasn't around and it was Davian looking good leading the rest of them with his vocals.
