Backstage Right Before Performing (Liam, Adri, Alicia, Dom, & eventually Davian, maybe Cheyenne)
The other band's set was coming to an end and the Camden student went on stage with another for the Cheer-O-Meter to get results. Without a singer, they were in trouble. Alicia might volunteer or even Dom. Liam might be willing to take them into consideration, even if they didn't really fit with the style of the song they were going to be playing. But hey, stranger things could happen.
Liam heard the voice too. Were hearing was good for things like that. His head turned, recognizing the tone and timbre was a good fit for classic rock. There was something about new bands that seemed to lack that quality, and it's why Liam was a bit of a snob in that way. New school could do well but old school lasted so long for a damn good reason.
"You may be onto something, Chey," Liam said, not looking at Cheyenne or the other bandmates. He was more or less the defacto leader. Their original lead singer liked to think he was in charge, but Liam was good about taking the lead. He had put a hell of a lot more work into this, even if it was something he did for fun. It was natural for him to step into the role of a leader. It just happened. It only became a problem when it but heads with someone of a similar personality but with different ideas on how things should get done.
Liam headed in the direction of the voice and went into the bathroom. There was only one person back there and standing at the urnials was Davian Rivera. Kitsune Expert, self-proclaimed demon lord, and kind of obnoxious but after that phone call with Adam . . .
"Hey," he said, keeping a distance, "You wanna make an easy six-pack of beer?"
